The transition to college is a significant milestone marked by newfound independence, academic challenges, and social pressures. This whirlwind of change can be overwhelming for many students, making mental health support an essential component of the college experience.

Here's why:

  • Increased Stressors: College life introduces a host of new stressors, including academic demands, financial worries, relationship challenges, and homesickness. Mental health support can help students develop healthy coping mechanisms.

  • Academic Performance: Mental health directly impacts a student's ability to concentrate, learn, and retain information. Prioritizing mental well-being can enhance academic success.

  • Building Resilience: College is a time for personal growth and development. Mental health support helps students build resilience, enabling them to navigate challenges and setbacks.

  • Social Connections: Strong mental health fosters healthy relationships and a sense of belonging, which are crucial for college students' overall well-being.

  • Preventing Crises: Early intervention and support can help prevent mental health crises and promote long-term mental wellness.

Prioritizing mental health during this time has many benefits. Unfortunately many college campus counseling centers are overwhelmed and waiting lists are long. I offer reduced rate services for college students who are seeking mental health support during this time of transition. Services are offered via tele-health for 50 minutes for students who are in California.

Booking a session is easy and convenient.
